Small family farms have been illegal in Minnesota for far too long. The restrictions on our rural communities must stop!

We call on Minnesota to permit small family farms on any agricultural parcel 10 acres or larger.

We used to let Minnesotans decide what was best for their family, farm and community. We led the world in wheat and flour production, and when that production moved to the prairies we diversified with dairy and creameries, we developed new equipment and constructed sheds, and we raised stocks of beef and hogs and erected barns and markets.

Changing community needs organically shaped the fabric of Minnesota.

But our outdated farming laws favor only the industrialists that deplete our fields, contaminate our waters and ship our food ourseas. These restrictive laws even prohibit the creation of new communities and towns.

Our party is a strong advocate for family farms and rural development, and we believe that any agricultural property over 10 acres should have the right to farm.

We further support the rights of farmers to build their own homes as they see fit, and to process and sell their own products locally.

Vote Agrarian to support family farms and rural development in Minnesota!
